1. All surfaces to receive Sound deadener must be clean and free of oils, dirt and other bond breakers.
2. All bare steel should be painted prior to installation to avoid possibility of moisture being trapped between bare steel and Sound Decision Mat. KBS Rust Seal can be used as excellent rust
protection primer / paint between bare steel and Sound deadener
3. Sound Deadener can be cut with a utility knife or scissors. Cut mat to the desired size and shape.

4. Sound Deadener Mat should have a complete bond with no air pockets to receive full benefit of the sound deadening and insulation qualities. It is best to use a roller to press Sound Deadener to the surface. If you find trapped air pockets after installing mat, these can be eliminated by cutting a small slit in the mat with a utility knife and pressing air out with roller.
